| Fishing Coaching |

On Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th August Children from Eastmoor St
Swithuns Community Centre attended at Flanshaw Dam, the Wakefield Angling
Club to take part in two days of fishing coaching with the aim of steering
children away from anti social behaviour during the summer holidays.
The event was jointly organised by PC 3930 Schofield of Wakefield Central
NPT, Harry Lodge the Chairman of Wakefield Angling Club, Lesley Sharp of St
Georges Lupset and also staff at Eastmoor St Swithuns Community Centre.
Fishing tuition was provided on the days by Harry Lodge and Mike Sharpe,
with all the children thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Black History Month Launch
Voluntary Action Wakefield District have orgainsed an afternoon of celebration showcasing
a mix of African and Caribbean culture, food and arts. This event will take place at St Swithun's Community Centre
and is suitable for professionals, community groups and interested individuals.
