Fancy volunteering in your local community?
Eastmoor Community Project aims to provide local people with constructive and relevant volunteering opportunities to help provide them with new skills, experiences and friendships. If you have a few spare hours and are willing to help out then drop into the centre and ask about opportunities. We currently have the following opportunities:
GEM (Getting Eastmoor Moving)
We are looking for energetic volunteers to help with the supervision of children aged 6-12 on holiday activities based at St Swithuns. No formal experience is needed as training and a CRB check will be given by the centre, all you'll need is the energy to work with children and a good sense of humour!
Website updating
The aim of the website is to provide a space where local people can find out what
activities are going on in their community.Volunteers are needed to update the information on the
website so that the latest news and information is available for people to access.
Eastmoor Job Club
We are looking for volunteers to help out with the Eastmoor Job Club, offering support to people who are looking for employment or seeking to change employment. Activities will include support with CV writing and advice on interview techniques as well as pracatical support and encouragement with job hunting.
The opportunity would suit someone recently retired.
If you think you would like to get involved in volunteering for the community activities that happen on Eastmoor
then come in and let us know.
